I Am Poem by Ryder Rohrbach
May 23, 2009 | Uncategorized
I am a boy who likes vehicles
I wonder what the future is like
I hear nothing
I see nothing
I want my own life
I am a boy who likes vehicles
I pretend nothing
I feel scared of the future
I touch nothing
I worry something bad might happen
I cry when dad yells
I am a boy who likes vehicles
I understand I am different
I say something about me is different
I dream about being brave
I try to keep safe
I hope I can be brave
I am a boy who likes vehicles

I love your poem, Ryder. As long as you like vehicles, you are going to be safe, and brave, and your future is bright. Because you will always have a wonderful vehicle to drive around in, or someone else can drive you around in a wonderful vehicle, like a train, and airplane, and a rocket to the moon, if you have a taste for some green cheese. Don’t be afraid of the future. God holds you in the hollow of his hand.

I love both Ryder’s poem and Mom’s reply.
