I am reminded of Hurricane Fay that took her good easy time and drenched the southland for days and days. I was beginning to get a little idea of what it was like for Noah, except our house didn’t uproot and float away, thank heavens!! And God was watching! All of those beautiful homes in the gated community only a mile and a half away from us were destroyed.
We went to the temple today in the pouring rain, and came home the same way. It’s still pouring at 10:00 PM as I am writing this. There has been no Hurricane this time. Actually, Faye was never scaled up to hurricane capacity. She was just a huge tropical storm that drenched the south, and flooded and flooded and flooded. In the last days, etc, and so on!

Still raining. Beth, the main streets in Daytona are underwater. There has been much flooding in our county. Thank goodness we seem to live on high ground, but the St. John’s River is just a couple of miles away. If it ever seriously overflows, we might be in trouble.

Rained almost all day today, too. Stopped about 6:00, just in time for Carmen, Jordan, her friend Michelle, and Teyla to leave for Orlando. They drove over here this morning, just to spend the day with us. Rained on Carmen all the way.
The “Lodge” (?) was paying for a hotel room for two nights for them and Jason, who was driving over from Jacksonville after work, and he is singing in the “finals” for some local Jacksonville talent show, sponsored by the “Lodge”.

Above comment was by me, and not Jordan. It has rained all day today. It is raining now. 8:10PM. Five days of rain and no sunshine. I am getting gloomy.
