3 Week Contract

May 14, 2009 | Items of Interest

Imagine, having someone offer you work for three weeks and then coming up to you 3 1/2 years later and saying, “Good job, we’ll let you go now. Thank you for the 40 weeks:)”

Sounds like a good run to me… I hope the next job gives me a 4 week contract:)

Out of the banking business for now.

Send your wonderful prayers and good thoughts this way. I am sending them out for all of you as well.

  2. Rush Limbaugh would say: “Why a four-week contract? Why not a five-week, or a six week, or a ten-week?”

I can’t imagine how that must have felt. It looks like whoever released you could have been a little more subtle, or gentle about it. But that’s the business world. When you’re of no use any longer….you’re just…”nothing”.

You know that your Dad and I will pray for you every morning and night and in between, and your name will stay on the temple role.

  3. I am so very very sorry Buddy :( The banking industry has been hit really hard during this recession.

However, you have received some fantastic programming/reporting skills that will ensure you a very good headstart into the next job that awaits you. I have every confidence you will find another job and soon. There are not alot of people that possess your combination and that should bubble your resume above even the toughest competition. I’ll sure have you in my thoughts and prayers my dear brother.
