Jordan went home
January 19, 2009 | Items of Interest
Carmen and Jason came on Friday, packed up Jordan, and they finished all of the packing on Saturday(but Jason took time off very early to go out with his brother for some early morning salt water fishing), and they left. We’re already missing Jordan.
Maria came late Sunday Afternoon, spent the night, and spent all day today (holiday, you know. Somebody special’s birthday) and she painted the room that Jordan exited. A pretty color of yellow. It looks very nice. There’s a queen bed in there, so someone can come and visit now.
Jani may be here for a while. Casey is awaiting his orders, and he just may be sent to Afghanistan. Jani would like to go back to Oklahoma…..but…..we’ll see.
Thank you, Maria, for painting the room. It really is very pretty.

Mom,
I worry about your well being when the sounds of other footsteps in the Hallway are fewer and farther between. Most people go through the empty nest syndrome when they are in their 40s or 50s. It takes awhile to adjust. The amount of physical activity one uses to serve their family on a daily basis would make anyone’s mind spin. The loneliness and inactivity can get overwhelming but, the spiritual buildup can be amazing. SO, it is absolutely essential to discover and keep up some sort of exercise routine for yourself daily. The body spends years learning how to motivate itself and to use, store and conserve energy. REMEMBER: Motivation is the key. The less active we become physically THE LESS THE BODY CAN SERVE THE SPIRIT. So… Dance, Walk, find physical projects that get you up and about. Remember… Poppa Luis does a heck of a Cha Cha my little Bop Queen mother:)

Who’s been telling on me? Only Luis and Jani Know that I spend hours in bed sleeping. Hours and hours….just sleeping. I get up, and feel awful, so i go back to bed and sleep some more. The weather is so COLD. I hate COLD WEATHER. I came down here to get away from the cold, and it’s going down into the “20’s” tonight. I ask you…is that fair? When this cold weather subsides, and the warm weather comes back again, I’m going to take my little great-grandson out for a spin everyday in his stroller. But it’s just too cold to be bothered now.
I went to the doctor today. It was my follow up. He came in, and took one look at me and said, “Septic Shock! You were very sick, lady! How are you feeling now?”
I have to go back and see him again in March, and I’m going to ask him if many of his patients lapse into septic shock. I don’t think so, the way all four of the doctors that tended me were carrying on.
