I was too late, except to comment on this, the correct date.
I have just been wondering how we got the news home to the your dad’s parents in Panama City, and to my parents in Birmingham? I suppose we sent them a telegram. They had just learned only a month or so earlier that we were expected another baby. We had kept it a secret. Why? Well, for one thing, I had lost a baby only a year previously, and my mother was a worrywart. She would have been frantic, so I wanted to save her the trouble. We also thought it would be fun to spring the surprise. It was. You were a nice Christmas gift for everyone, Bud.
And Christmas of 1959 remains my favorite Christmas to date.
