The Miracle of Newfamily

December 9, 2008 | Uncategorized

I am continuing to be awed by the “strange” things that happen to me when I come into the office, intent on going into the Newfamily Program to just see where it carries me.  I close the door for privacy, and sometimes have a prayer.

Last night, I saw the pink card with the name “Willie Frances Holland” on it.  It had a big red cross on it, which meant that I had turned it over to the temple, and I could just file it away, and check in six months to see if the work had been done.  She was only seven years old, and should only require sealing to her parents.  I hoped that would be caught and the Baptism, Confirmation only would be performed.  The initiatory and Endowment were not necessary.  I could only hope.  So I keyed in Her parents, and there before my shocked eyes was Willie Frances Holland,  Her work had been done!  Only one of those children still lives, and he is Tom Holland.  I suppose he is at least  83 years old and Evelyn must be 95.

  2. Ixnay!! Big zeros! Evelyn is only four years older than Tom. If she is 95…then he is 91.

  3. My beloved Aunt Lena (my second mother) Holland and my Uncle Perry Cleveland Holland had six children. All are deceased, except for Tom.

Tom’s sister, Gloria Izetti Holland Knothe (Zet) died in December of 1995. She was born on 3 October 1925 in Brundidge, Pike, Alabama. She was 70 years old, and I don’t know why she died, but I do know how heartbroken her husband, Robert Knothe, was. They loved each other very much. Because of this, I thought I would just check in the Social Security Death Index and see if Robert had died. Sure enough. He was born on June 24 of 1926 in Pennsylvania, and he died on 12 February 2008 in Northampton, Pennsylvania. Well, I suppose that was him. I’m going to have to have it verified by Tom, before I have his ordinance work done, and have him sealed to Zet.
