Remarkable Baby!
November 16, 2008 | Uncategorized
Chris and his wife, Esther, came down from Oklahoma, just so Chris could bless his grandchild, Tristan James Koptan. Of course, it was a beautiful blessing, and Tristan didn’t make a sound. The Elders didn’t even have to bounce him.
At home, he put on quite a performance for us! Jani put him on the floor (now mind you, he’s only exactly eight weeks old), and she put her hands against his feet. He started pushing off immeditely. She didn’t push him. And he inched his way across the blanket. Next! She put him on his back, and he struggled and struggled…trying to push over and flip himself to his stomach. Couldn’t quite manage that. So, she put him on his stomach again, and that little booger didn’t quit until he flipped himself over to his back.
Now….I may not be remembering right….but I didn’t have a baby (not even Bill) do that until they were three months old.
Go ahead. Correct me if I’m wrong, and tell me what remarkable things your babies have done…that I have forgotten.

ok. I’ll brag then. Ryder was changing his own diaper when he was 3 weeks old. It was quite remarkable really.

Somewhere…I have a picture of Lanie Beth when she was just 18 months old, and won second or third place (Bud?) in a beauty contest. She walked out on the stage, and turned to face the audience, and literally charmed them with her smiles. Of course, she should have won first place…and I think the judges were in cahoots with the parents of the baby who won first place. She was only four months old, and had no personality at all!! Yes! my grandchild should have won first place.
