Jealousy and Children

My kids’ school have a Colonial day every year. This morning Dylan and Ryder had to put on their costumes for school to celebrate. Ryder had chosen an indian costume and I preselected a pilgrim costume for Dylan (Ryder constantly complains that Dylan copies him so I avoid that scenario at all costs).
Dylan takes one look at Ryder’s costume and throws his on the floor. “Why does Ryder get to be an Indian and I have to be a Plumber??? IT’S NOT FAIR!!”

Wow! that’s one fancy plumber! Mine never wear starched white collars, buckled shoes, and big black hats! Hmmm…is that how joe the plumber dresses?

Needless to say, Ryder got beat up pretty bad cuz he fell on the floor laughing. Dylan isn’t the most patient child in the family.

That’s hilarious.
It reminded me of something Jordan said one time, when she was about five years old.
We had the missionaries over for dinner one night. Jordan heard the word, “missionaries”,and when they got ready to leave, she said “where are the “prisoners” going?”

Dylan the Plumber could make a very nice life for himself as long as he keeps the business under $250K and hires indians as undocumented workers:)

Bud…you forgot! Dylan didn’t want to be the plumber. He wanted to be an Indian. Anyway, there are no Indians in this country who are undocumented. They got here first. The rest of us Gentiles are the undocumented ones.
