What a day!
November 9, 2008 | Uncategorized
Yesterday, Saturday, with Maria’s help, and two of the brothers from church, Carmen and Jason got a 24 ft. trailer packed to the ceiling and two cars packed, on the road to their new home in Jacksonville!
Everybody was really tired. It was like a FULL move, because that’s exactly what it was. It entailed getting all of their stuff (and that was plenty) out of our house, and out of our garage, and out of their storage rental packed and on it’s way. Jason drove the trailer, with Carmen behind, and Maria trailing a little later. At the new home they had help from Tony’s household (especially Corey, Amber’s husband) and some more brothers from the new Ward that they will be in.
Tia is here, and we’ll take her to Jacksonville on Thursday to meet her mother there (from Cochran, Georgia, which is where Tia lives now.)
Tia was a blessing. She brought all kind of food, and fed us through the ordeal, plus taking care of the baby a lot.
It’s done. I had a delayed reaction, and cried all through Sacrament and Relief Society today. We’re going to miss them more than I can say.
We’re left with Jordan (until Christmas) and Jani and the baby for as long as, perhaps, February.
