She needs money for food, if she can just get her car fixed enough to go to Texas. They’re expecting her Monday, and she won’t make it until Tuesday, because her car is messed up and it’s going to cost.
She called us, but I’m not sure what we can do right now, because we’ve shelled out so much money helping them move.
I think I’ll call Buddy and Beth tomorrow and ask them if they could lend her a few dollars. She refuses to call her Dad. He gets all mad, and yells at her that she’s not spending her money wisely.

Okay, just got off the phone with Lainie. She’s okay, she’s in the house or apt. in Texas City, getting ready to go to work.
She just had to get a short in her headlights fixed, nothing major (although every penny counts, I’m sure).
Her next crucial need will be new tires. I guess we could start a “Lainie fund” or something.
I’ve invited her to come for Thanksgiving, and she’s accepted pending her work schedule.
