Okay on the polls

November 5, 2008 | Uncategorized

Wow! i suppose I am surprised. I didn’t think Barack had a chance. Well, we seem to pick democrats every so often. Lets see what he can do. I really don’t think the racial thing will be that big a deal. He doesn’t talk like a black person and his Mom is white, so its not like we elected a pure black person. Let’s see what you can do BARACK!! They say he has been groomed all his life, lets see if he can stand the pressure. Certainly he is a more eloquent speaker than McCain. I want to see if he can stand up to the pressure.

  2. I love your optimism, Lainie! I will tell you exactly what Barack Obama can do. He will begin by shredding the Constitution, or what is left of it.

Everyone get your food storage in. The times that my Mom spoke of in my 1974 dream are about to come true. Hard times will be upon us, when he pulls our military out of the Middle East, and we have to fight them in the streets of America.

Pessimistic? Yes, I was always good at that.

But the man is a dyed-in-the-wool Socialist. The American people have lost their minds. They listened to a guy with no experience…he’s never even managed a grocery store….and put him in the highest post in this country. We’re going to pay dearly for this!! May not US!! But my grandchildren and my great-grandchildren are going to pay the bill, when it comes due.

I almost didn’t come into the website tonight, because I haven’t listened to the news all day. Luis and I spent a pleasant, wonderful day in the Temple, serving the Lord, and doing those things that really count. We stopped at our favorite snack shack…the Subway…and then cruised on home, still not listening to the news….not listening when we came home. It’s 11:45 now, and Luis still doesn’t know! I think I’ll let him rest comfortably through the night, and not have to face it until the morning. Poor fellow. He thought all the time that John McCain had a chance. I knew McCain had lost the election when he chose that woman, Palin, for his running mate. I was in the kitchen washing the dishes, and I almost fainted on the spot. I said, “Oh, no! McCain just blew it!”

  3. This is like so many people I’ve spoken to: “well, he’s just another Democrat, we have those every now and then.”

Bill Clinton left a legacy of immorality and sleaze behind, but Mr. Barack Hussein Obama or Barry Soetero or whatever his name really is, is something else entirely.

This is like electing Hugo Chavez. It changes everything. He and his cronies will seek to change the very fabric of our system of government, everything from freedom of speech and right of assembly to the right to determine your own choices in healthcare and the management of your own money.

It’s not about HOW he will do, it’s WHAT. My faith in the Lord is the only thing sustaining me right now.

(BTW, Pres. Putin of Russia immediately announced they’re going ahead with deployment of tactical missiles in eastern Europe, threatening countries like Ukraine and Poland. Why do you suppose he feels free to do this now?

(Mark my words, this is the beginning of a very difficult time for this nation. By the end of the first four years the citizens will likely be as down-in-the-dumps as in the Carter years – except there may be no Ronald Reagan to come to our aid this time).

  4. Mom, Palin had nothing to do with this. In fact, he probably had a chance because of her – not that I think she’s a particularly brilliant choice, but she caused some to vote for McCain who would have just stayed home.

No, there’s one person alone who’s responsible for this debacle: John McCain. Until and unless the conservatives are able to regain control of that party, the GOP will be a perpetual minority party as they were for all those years between Eisenhower and Reagan.

  5. Ok. I will actually admit something. I couldnt stand McCain. I voted for him while holding my nose but I did so mainly because of the Supreme Court appointments that Barack is sure to flub up royally. But to be completely honest, I wasnt devastated when obama won. maybe it is because of my complete disgust with bush or mccain but i never felt the republicans had a chance this go around. I can only hope that obama finds some middle ground as president (something he has never found in his career) but one can only hope.

I told my kids that obama won and they were so upset. they held a vote in school and mccain won so they couldnt understand why that wasnt official. I told them that no matter what, obama is still to be respected because he is our president. Our country is great and not because of any one man (or woman).

  6. you think he will get reelected next time lol!
The youtube video I was trying to pull up was of this black girl crying after the election saying “Oh hooray!!now I won’t have to pay my mortgage and Barack will pay for my health care”!

  7. Oh Beth, that game doesn’t work on my tv. I don’t have a remote.

  8. BTW: Be prepared. I’m about to unload a short novel spread across several posts, in which I want to set forth my thoughts on current politics. I feel particularly impressed to do this since from what I can see, four of Nancy’s and my adult children voted for Barack Hussein Obama (Soetoro) for President of the United States.

I realized how unprepared I was to even discuss that with them, mostly because there’s just too much information to try to impart in a conversation over which they’ll likely be stopping up their ears anyway.

So this way, they can understand why I believe election of this man was wrong, based on a lot of information that they simply don’t possess (given the state of the MSM as well as the fecklessness of public education) and my own personal experiences growing up.

One of the kids retorted that it’s because “separation of church and state means I don’t take my morality from politicians.” An odd way to describe a politician whose promises of “hope” and “change” rival those of any religious adherent I’ve ever heard.

I do admit to being puzzled why religion is brought into the discussion, seeing as how Mr. Obama’s church of some twenty-plus years was founded on activism and political action far beyond that of any church I’m aware of. If anyone might be seen to be bringing his religious beliefs into the fray, it would be our new President-elect.

  9. Today, I listened to Rush for the first time in months. I simply haven’t been able to face what I knew was going to happen.

Rush read an article…..maybe some of you heard it. I don’t remember who wrote it. But it gave a full account of exactly what is ahead for America, and it is dismal to say the least. Our freedom is at stake in a way never before or since the American Revolution. And the liberals know exactly how to work it. They are strong, confident, and they fully intend to stay in full control of our government from this time forth.

Obama has already started his campaign for re-election…and it’s all through the internet. Brilliantly done. He and his liberal cronies are going to lead the stupid idiots who voted for them (and take the rest of us with them) down the garden path.

Obama has already talked about having a “strong civilian army”. As “strong as the miliary”. Civilian army? For what? To police the activities of every American. To watch every move…to listen to every conversation…to make sure that the foolish Americans will give up their freedoms one by one. Not overnight. No. It will be done in the manner of the “frog in a pan of cold water on the stove.” The heat will be lit, and before the frog knows what has happened…he is frog soup.

Bill, I look forward to reading your short novel, because you’re so wonderful with words, and such a good writer. You will say the things I would like to say.

I’m old now. And I’m very sick. I’m not going to live very many more years, so I probably won’t see the total destruction, but my children and grandchildren will live through those terrible times that are coming.

Just enjoy and love each other now. Take each day as a special gift from the Lord. Stand Ye in Holy Places. Live the commandments. Teach them to your children and grandchildren. Be loyal and true and faithful to God and family.

We have time for another wonderful Thanksgiving…and Christmas. Perhaps again next year, and the year after.
    I don’t know.

But something that hasn’t been mentioned by Rush Limbaugh, are the sleeper cells in this country who probably voted for Obama, and now will soon see an opportunity to strike.

Our soldiers will come home. Iraq and Alfganistan will soon be over-run by the thugs that we held at bay.

    Bill, Bud…your thoughts.
