Happy Halloween!
October 31, 2008 | Uncategorized
Lily was a lovely witch (she was so pretty with orange and black ribbons in her hair for school–all the boys fight in her class about who gets to sit by her) and Ben was the cutest army g.i. joe (he really has a good hat face.)
I was a big and pregnant pioneer woman and glad to know there is some Scotts in the family line b/c that’s what Luis Ben wanted to be–a Scotsman! I amazingly found a plaid tablecloth, curtains and a black beret from the thrift stores to make his outfit. I don’t have any pictures yet though b/c he took it off before he got home and was too tired to wear it to our ward party.
What a busy day! I’m glad it’s over and hope you had fun trick or treating too! Love, Julie

We’ll look forward to seeing some pics of all the halloween costumes! I’ll bet Lily and Ben looked adorable!! We had two Halloween outfits for little Tristan, but he’d had a horrible day of colic, and he didn’t feel like dressing up. His Mommie was dead on her feet, so Luis and I told her to go to bed and get some much-needed sleep. I took care of the baby, while Luis handed out treats to the little neighborhood spooks.
Everybody else had headed out to Jacksonville to look over their new home. (Carmen says everyone is going to be so Jealous!) We did see a picture, and it’s beautiful, inside and out. They’ll be moving next week, I don’t know when. Lots of packing to do.
And Tia is coming Monday. We told her that she’d be coming in the middle of a big mess, but she didn’t mind, and couldn’t wait another minute to see her little grandson. And he is the cutest little thing. Six weeks old tomorrow, and he’s smiling a little. He’s getting his eyes focused, and he’s about ready to start “cooing”. I hope he will do that while Tia is here. He really is a beautiful baby. And his eyes were muggy dark when he was first born, but they have actually turned blue, like his father!! He looks like his dad, who happens to be an incredibly handsome fellow.
Anyway, the Vieras did “halloween” over in Jacksonville, so we didn’t see Teyla, except for the fact that she wore her “Lava Girl” outfit for two or three days around the house. It was cute. Carmen just bought a red shirt, and cut out the “Lava” in bright satiny pink material and sewed it own, and Put “Lava Girl” on the back of the shirt…with a glue gun, and sprinkled it with silver something or other. Very imaginative. Jordan was with us, so she could go out with her friends. She dressed up in one of luis’s old army fatigues, hat and all.
I’m sick, as usual. My toe isn’t healing too well, and I have bronchitis, which I’m watching carefully, because of the pneumonia last year.
Just so all is well in time for our much looked forward to trip to Missouri around April or May. If Hillary would hurry up and have her baby in early May, it would be good to make the trip then, so we could see that youngest great-grandbaby.
