The office building was located in Orlando. I failed to mention that. It has rained steadily and hard all day and the wind has blown at the same 20 to 30 MPH, with some heavy gusts reaching 40 to 45 MPH. Streets over a few blocks from us are completely submerged, and we have really been lucky.
Honestly, if it were to keep up another 48 hours,I believe it would begin to creep onto our back porch, and well into the garage and even into our front hall. I may be wrong,
but I don't see how we could escape, when I watch national TV, and I see the map, and there's Debary right in the middle of the mix. I expect to see my mailbox pop up on the map!! It gets that close, and the rain and wind is that scary!

I didn't know that was going on out your way. It's about 1:20 PM now, and it rained and the wind blew all night, and its still raining cats and dogs, and the gusts are about 20-30 MPH. I just saw the news where some windows were blown out of an office building. Everything was soaked; carpets, furniture, etc
. Security was having a hard time making people get out of the way so the fire department and "whoever" (proper authorities) could get through and do their jobs.
I'm assuming that the people working in those offices had the good sense to get out of the way.

> We are really being soaked by Fay.

That happened here about six years ago. Tropical Storm Allison came ashore, moved slowly north of Houston, then kinda meandered around in place. That's when we had flooding of biblical proportions here! I got a lot of work out of that one, checking out structural damage.

Strangely, we have a big low pressure system sitting just north of Dallas, and it's like a cyclone, pulling in Gulf moisture, and just DUMPING rain on us right now. It's been raining off and on for days, and will through the weekend.

Stay dry!

Thanks for the report, Bill. I will call Beth tomorrow to see how she's feeling.

Off topic...about McCain vs Obama. Surely the American people can see by now the vast difference between the two candidates. But most of all....I hope McCain wakes up and sees what he must do to win the presidency, and then keep the conservatives on his side. Also...it's so important for him to choose the right running mate. I actually heard today that he was considering Mitt Romney. Boy!! Wouldn't that be the RIGHT CHOICE. That might keep the Republicans in line. Who knows. He said he was going to choose someone that reflected his principles and values, and i hope he means it.

Another topic...We are really being soaked by Fay. She is just sitting quietly...moving slowly, and causing a lot of flooding. If you've been watching the news, you know what I mean. It would be good if she would turn and head north to give Georgia a good dousing. They need rain badly.

It has been raining here all night and all day, and the rain has increased this afternoon and night, and the trees are swaying back and forth, gently. It's just soothing to watch, but could get serious if it goes on to long. Not too far away in Melbourne people are seeing up to a foot or so of water invading their homes. Pitiful.
