EMERGENCY!!! EMERGENCY ISSUE HERE!!!

July 23, 2008 | Uncategorized

OK, so look, I realize it’s less than a week till the reunion, but Julie and I have an emergency situation here! I know there are other issues we’re all dealing with right now, like:

• money
• gas
• injuries
• car problems
• pregnant teens
• the end of an awesome animated TV series
• mentally gearing up to “love” each other at the reunion as opposed to the “fighting like cats and dogs” we would normally do. Which, I thought, was our way of showing “love”. But whatever…I can fake it.

But what trumps all that is the fact that Julie and I have not seen BATMAN yet.

Well, how do we solve this people? I’m thinking: Tibetin monks, a paper clip, and two pounds of chocolate bars.

But I’m just spitball’n here.

anybody else?

  2. I have no idea what you’re talking about, Ben. All I know is that you had better get your rump down to Alabama with my two grandchildren. but, I may be just spitball’n here (whatever the heck that means!!!) Love, MOM

  3. Carmen is right. You can ALL go and see it when you get to Desoto, and there are plenty of baby sitters. How does that
sound, now, my son. Plenty of baby sitters, as in Paw Paw and Nana. But wait. We can’t babysit that many. No. You will have to take turns, and babysit each other’s kids. right? Doesn’t that sound best? I think it does.

  4. You know Ben is supposed to stay SAT w/ me. We could let you sneak off to the Galleria Rave Theater that night. I don’t see why I can’t just put up a HUGE tarp in my yard and have everyone just come by and stay for a pre reunion reunion before you all head up to Ft Payne, AL… I won’t be able to come up w/ the kids until the evening of the 31st and we’ll stay until SAT the 2nd. Jacob has to get off from Band Camp and Adam has to get off of football practise.

  5. I’ve found that, when all else fails and the world seems to be closing in…

    …have another kid.

  6. That worked for awhile for us. The world still closed in but, the extra kid could be used to block the walls from totally coming together….

  7. Bud…you won’t be coming until NEXT weekend? That stinks. I want everyone there ALL WEEK! oh well…
Ben…We haven’t seen DArk Knight either. I really don’t know if I can handle watching it yet, but I am getting there. I just have to take a big box of tissues.
I can understand why you haven’t seen it yet. It is hard to fit everything in a Saturday only. This Sat we did go see movies, but Jani and Jason watched Hellboy 2 and Jordan, Teyla and myself watched Space Chimps. OOOHH the sacrifices we make for our children. :)

  8. I KNOW!!!

I was sitting in Hellboy 2 the other week and Ben was getting restless/loud and somebody said something to me and I’m all like, “HEY! I’m SACRIFICING Here!”

People without children just do NOT understand. ;)

  9. people without children understand that people with children need to stay home. haha

one of the greatest sayings ever:
“Children should be seen and not heard.”

Althought, I must admit i’m a little iffy about that “seen” part. they are usually dirty and snotty anyway so i could probably do without that too.

    :)
