I thought of this weeks and weeks ago, and just now tonight talking to Beth remembered it, but here it is:
Why can’t Melissa come with part or all of the children part or all of the time??? I think only the little rustic cabins are left. Maybe some chalets. But there is the Motel, of course. She will receive nothing but the kindest of treatment. No one is going to this reunion with an axe to grind. If so, I think it’s better not to go.
This is a time to grow closer as a family. Think about it. I don’t know anything about her schedule (work or schedule, etc.). Anyway. She is welcome to come.

Melissa just lost her grandmother last week. Needless to say she has been someone emotional as of late. I have invited her but she is extremely reclusive and really gave me no response. She misses seeing many of the family I know. She felt very close to Ben, Carmen, Holli and Tony. We’ll see.

Oh, my!! I know how close she was to her grandmother. That is truly a great loss for her!
And, Bud, Lainie just called a couple of hours ago and told me something about Fred being in the hospital in South Carolina, and your Dad being extremely upset….it sounded very serious. Please let me know. I was so very fond of Fred, though I haven’t seen him since 1961.

And give Melissa my deepest condolences. She isn’t going to get over this anytime soon. Maybe it would be good for her to go up to the reunion and visit with Tony and Carmen and Ben, and their families. Beth will welcome her, too, as well as Luis and myself.
