Happy Birthday Seay!

May 30, 2008 | Birthdays

He’s…gulp!…THIRTY YEARS OLD TODAY!

Mom, you have a grand-child who is THIRTY!!!

YOWCH!!!

I remember his birth like it was last year. First time I’d ever witnessed a child-birth of course, and it was terrifying and fascinating all at once! That was before the days of TLC or what-have-you; now you get to see a baby born every day, on the tube.

He was BLUE. Scared the be-jeebers out of me, I thought something was wrong! Then he took his first breath, and within seconds he was a healthy baby-pink.

We stayed at the little clinic where he was born, out in the middle of nowhere, Alabama, and then took him home that night. He cried half the night, and his mother just kept saying “I don’t know what to do! I don’t know what to do!”

Good grief, what a couple of clueless kids we were!

Everything turned out okay, though, and despite a little bump in the road when he was 15, he’s been a joy to everyone who has known him.

Happy birthday, Seay-bee Shoy! (rhymes with “baby boy”)

I love you!

  2. Just called Seay to wish him H.B. Sounds like he’s doing o.k. He actually has an “employee” now, another guy who’s teaching guitar UNDER Seay’s banner. Seay’s getting a good word-of-mouth reputation, and he’s thinking of incorporating his “school.”

There’s actually no building for the school, since he makes “house calls.”

He’s doing well, going with a friend to see a movie later on to celebrate. No, the friend is not a female, darn it.

    Love to all.

  4. DARN IT! DARH IT! My first grand-child turned thirty, and my face was glued to my ancestors, and the day slipped by.
I’m so mad, I could kick myself. A .ot of good my birthday book is doing me!!

Anyway. Happy Birthday to my Seay-MAN! And not Seay-BOY!
