It’s A First-Grade Hoedown
April 19, 2008 | Kid Brag
This is Grandson Ethan’s First Grade program at Woodcreek Elementary School last month. The video’s pretty good (they get professionals to do these now – I swear, this is going to be the most photo- and videographed generation in history).
Ethan is (once again) on the far right in each scene. He’s one of the three kids in the opening scene, on the rightmost microphone, and he’s on the far right in the “chorus” as well.

That was really cute Bill. Its funny how their is always a “Moose” (like in Archie’s comic) in every class. I smiled when I saw that kid in the back. Ethan looked adorable.

“Moose”
That’s absolutely true.
This evening Nancy and the kids and I went to “Texas Borders,” the little grill there right across the street where you used to work, Lainie.
We try to go to places that have a playground for the kids, and I pointed out the “Moose” who was sort of running the group of kids out on the playground. If he stops at the top of the slide, NO ONE is going down the slide till he decides to go.
Seay was pretty much a “Moose” when he was in the sixth or seventh grade or so.

Ethan is just so cute. The sound is out on our computer, and I couldn’t enjoy the performance in sound, but I did watch them stomp around.

Jason fixed the sound, and it made a huge difference, of course. There was a real good shot of Ethan. He’s so adorable.

“Mr. E” really has that sort of “something” that we often call “cute” or whatever. Not sure how to describe it, but he’s always coming up with little quips, or asking questions in a cute way. He’s so much fun to hang around with because of that.
Of course, I love each of these little guys. It’s amazing (or maybe not so) how distinct their personalities are.
