This is from Amaya’s dance recital in May 2007. It’s amazing how much she has grown in nearly a year!
Anyway, appropriate for her family, Amaya is the little doggie on the very far right in this video.

When Amaya was rehearsing this, she would practice at home. I was sitting there halfway paying attention when she started doing the “Who Let The Dogs Out” bit. I thought I would choke to death from laughing so hard.

You have to hear the sound. They’re doing the old (Connie Francis?) song “How Much Is That Doggie In the Window?” interspersed with “WHO LET THE DOGS OUT! ARFARFARFARF…..!”

Got the sound! Oh my goodness! “Uber-cute.” I remember precisely when Connie Francis came out with that record. I was fifteen. Mary Jo and I were in “Hog’s Heaven” down on Long Beach in Panama City, Florida for two whole weeks. We looked forward to that trip for a whole year. We had spent a weekend there the year before.
That song was played over and over at the “Hang-out”. I wonder how many times Mary Jo and I passed by Bill Polhemus, or any of the Polhemus gang that summer, and never knew it. Evidently we didn’t notice each other.
