Talent Show

I just thought of a talent I can do. One of my poems received Honorable Mention in Writer’s Digest several years ago. “What Did Ronald Rabbit Find?” I can recite this little children’s poem, and have Teyla and Jordan do a little skit with it. Now, the next thing is…..if I can find the poem somewhere. I’m sure it’s in the computer, hidden under something that I’ve forgotten about.

I think it would be cute if Jordan directed Amaya, Teyla and Lilly in a skit. (Lexie too if she is old enough to understand)that would be adorable.

Yes, Bill. Amaya and Lilly could be in the skit, or a skit. I have a million funny little poems, and i’m sure there must be one with a doggie in it to go with Amaya’s adorable little doggie costume. Teyla has a dozen costumes. I’ll just have to do what my elementary school teacher’s always said…”Put your thinking cap on, now.”

Actually I recommended Amaya, Lilly and Teyla with Jordan as the coach. I still think Lexie would probably be old enough to be in it too.

I just found my poem, “What Did Ronald Rabbit Find” and decided to try it out on Teyla. She repeated after me, as I got her to do the part of Ronald Rabbit, which she kept insisting that we rename Peter Cottontail.
She has beautiful expression. She can really ham it up. However, she gets bored quickly, and veers away from what we’re trying to do. She found some scissors, and insisted that they be the object that Ronald Rabbit found, which, of course, ruined the whole poem.
Or did it.
