Computer help please

March 14, 2008 | Uncategorized | Comments [2]

I can’t get sound from my speakers. I bought new ones but this still didn’t solve the problem. Anyone have a solution, with all of these computer genius’s in the family, surely someone can give me technical advice. :(

ReUnIoN!!

March 13, 2008 | Uncategorized | Comments [16]

Hello, I am about to pull a date out of my $%^ for the reunion and we can make plans on our own as to where to stay etc. i think the most important part is the date so people can ask off work and save money to go.  i am really looking forward to seeing everyone and hope everyone shows up, but if not that’s ok.  Mom and DAd really need this and we have so much FUN TOGETHER! :)   So, someone plan something.  Let me know if there are any dates that DO NOT WORK and I will be back in a few days with a date.

JULIE, the pictures were great! Ben, you are looking good.  Maybe between you and the idea of a reunion i will get some motivation to loose weight myself.  my brain and body do not react  in unison.  i think i don’t want the cookie but my hand just picks it up and puts it in my mouth.

That is the most beautiful picture of lily! you should definatly blow it up.

She really is coming to Florida

March 13, 2008 | Uncategorized | No Comments

I talked to Lainie-Beth tonight, and she was only two hours away from Orlando while I, and then luis, talked to her.  She’s the sweetest, funniest, girl in the world.  I was so sorry that we caused Buddy so much trouble when we were in Birmingham last trip.  i felt awful about it, but being with her was a barrel of fun.  She’s wonderful.  Anyway.  She was on the bus, on the way to the Hotel (I forget the name), and tomorrow (Thursday) which by my clock would be today (because it is almost 1:00 AM) they are going to Universal Studios, and have fun.  Friday I don’t know.  Saturday they’re going to perform in their competition.  We’re going to attend if Lainie-Beth can just get all of the information to us in time.  (location, time, etc.).  We’re so excited about it.  We can hardly wait to see her.

Oh, yes, and hi Bud, if you’re in here.  Where have you been?  Is everything OK, or have you just been really busy?  Are the kids doing alright?  Is anybody sick?  You’ve been on my mind a lot.   LOVE, MOM

See the old folks

March 11, 2008 | Funny | Comments [2]

Thought I would share rare footage of Luis B. and I before our date to the Addy awards.  We actually got to go out twice that weekend, which I am sure increased our love a hundred fold!  Then he delayed my plans to carpet the back room last weekend and we are back to square one.  What’s a guy and gal to do?

p.s. I missed the proposed date for the reunion. could someone email it to me?

Thanks, Julieimg_0312.JPG

Lily starts kindergarten

March 11, 2008 | Kid Brag | Comments [3]

<>Lily got a little nervous about kindergarten registration.  The night before she exclaimed, “I hate school, I am not going!”  Later she confessed she was just scared.  Of course, she instantly made a friend and saw her old friends so it was all good. She also scored over 90% in all categories at her screening. She will hopefully do jumpstart kindergarten during the month of June.  She is also quite the star of her little gymnastics class.   Love, Julie

Ben’s first art

March 11, 2008 | Kid Brag | Comments [3]

Benjamin started drawing this week, which amazes me because my family is not artistic like the Pagans. He is also having trouble adjusting to the time change as usual and can turn tears off and on like you would a faucet. He insisted on us going swimming today at the Y.  Oh, by the way, he declared this was a drawing of a bug.  The rest of his drawings include putting eyes and a mouth on everything, no matter if it’s a person or not.

A little Lame

March 10, 2008 | Uncategorized | Comments [2]

Well, Maria, the afterthought was a little lame.  But, what can I do.  It was gradually discovered that I love my sons more than I love my daughters.  I tried to disguise it for years, but it just became too much of a burden for me to carry. Little incidences began to occurr that  uncovered the truth.

It was Lainie who caught me in the first act of transgression against my daughters.

She happened to wake up one night in California, and heard singing in the livingroom.  Tiptoing quietly down the hall, she looked around the door, and saw me singing to a baby.

Was it a baby GIRL.  Oh, No!  The blanket was blue, and there was only ONE BABY in the house.  It was TONY!  Her mother had NEVER sung to any of the baby daughters before.  NEVER!  That was the very first clue that I loved the sons more than the daughters.

(If she had looked closely, she would have seen Tony wriggling miserably under the blanket, because I have the most awful, screechiest voice on earth, and the baby girls were spared the agony!!)

And so life went on with one clue after another, proving that my heart truly did lie with my sons.  Didn’t I go to every single one of my son’s ballgames and not any of my daughter’s ballgames (Hmm-mmm-mmmm!!!)

How huggable were my daughters compared to my sons?! (Hm-mm-mm!!)

Why even try.  I can’t hide it.

Bill—You are so “over the top”

March 9, 2008 | Uncategorized | Comments [6]

Son, you astound me, so something.  I’ve been reading some of your “stuff”, and I forget how i got there.  About “Sen. McCain” for one thing.  Bill, you are a sensational writer.  And so funny.  Or maybe you should be a talk show host.  Or is that Tony?  Or Buddy?  Or Ben?

All of my sons amaze me, and your brains were picked up somewhere along the way by your dads or granddads or somebody besides me, that’s for sure.

My daughters are plenty smart, too.

View at dusk. When my Phone was broken , I couldn’t take pictures so I had to break down and buy a camera. Its strange all the other stuff you need to get to go with it. For instance my batteries went dead in 4 hours. I need a rechargeable set , that is another 40$ , I can’t afford that now, so I will just buy regular batteries till i can. Then a printer is another $200, I have to wait on that as well. Mom, I am almost finished with the 4th volume of “A work and glory”, I will send you the volumes as I finish them, their are 9 and I am going to read them all because it is also learning about history, and I try to be learning something new everyday. Thats the one thing I like about Horticuture, it is an exact science and you will never learn everything, so I am constantly learning stuff everyday. The downside is we are really short at work with people in the Gardening department. You have to take a test, Its a 4 hour test to be in this department, and they can’t find people that can pass, you have to make a 90%. The manager said the tests at Home Depot that are the hardest  in the Gardening department and the Electrical Department. People think all you do is sell plants, but I have to know all about chemicals and fertilizers and alot of stuff. I hope they find someone before April , thats when it goes crazy for awhile. They are trying to certify me on the forklift, but it is taking me awhile because I am nervous when I drive it.

What’s Happening

March 7, 2008 | Uncategorized | Comments [1]

Our Website is dragging.  Surely something is going on.  Has a kid done or said something funny.  How about something in Kid Brag.  Did Jacob have a Happy Birthday?  Does anybody want to get into Politics.  Tony was over here the other day, and he should be a Talk Show Host.  I have never heard Rush give a better “Rant” than Tony gave.  He started with how the Constitution has been ripped, etc. He says he isn’t voting for McCain, and that’s that.  i’m of the same notion.   President Clinton.  Boy Howdy.  McCain can defeat Obama, but not Clinton, and Clinton is doing what Clintons are best at.  They’re winning.

Let’s see.  What else has happened in your life lately?  Has anybody traveled anywhere?

I can’t think of anything.  We’re pretty routine.  Teyla hasn’t even supplied a funny lately.

Like a river

this is the view off my balcony in the winter, there is a river that winds around in the valley below and mountains in the background. It goes with the song. I may connect pictures to my songs from now on.
