Phones??

March 25, 2008 | Reunion 2008

You all might already have been doing this but perhaps some of you should make some phone calls to each other.  It might be easier than posting, and definitely faster.  of course, i guess not cheaper though.  anyway, thanks for all the hard work everyone is doing to research ideas for the reunion.  Just want you to know that everyone else appreciates it!  I love all the ideas – oak mountain, hotels, dinners, activities, etc – and reading you guys talk about it is making me look forward to it more and more.  I’m sure whatever the final concensus is that we will all have fun.

  2. Mom and I have been talking, and everyone has decided that you need to pay $1000, everyone else $500 ;) If it is possible maybe you could pick up Casey on your way up. She is in Albany and it is on the way.

  3. Actually, no, it wouldn’t be faster necessarily, esp. when you factor in that often people aren’t available to talk on the phone, the advantage of having a written record here, and that virtually everyone in the family can keep up with what’s going on.

With all respect, li’l sister, this is the best way to hash all this out.

As for me an my house. *shrug* we’ll go along with whatever the majority decides. We’re just looking forward to seeing everyone.

  4. Thanks, Bill. That makes it easier. Again, I say. Do you want that cabin that luis reserved for you? He thought you and Nancy would like it, because at night the children will be tired, and the cabin is roomy. The children can stretch out, and so can you. When they’re asleep, we can visit each other. I LOVE IT!! Don’t forget PAY LUTIS BACK!! I think you do want the cabin, don’t you?

  5. What’s this “phone” you speak of?

    The internet is allllll

  6. I didn’t say that decisions shouldn’t be posted on the website. The possibility that some of the back and forth on the same topic could be minimized with a phone call or two was all i was suggesting. I mean, it is of course, fascinating to sit here and read all of this haggling and to have to sort through it to understand what people are trying to say. Who doesn’t have hours to devote to such and pleasurable pastime? I wouldn’t want to take away that enjoyment from anyone so by all means grind it out on the internet. Plus, now it’s written down so if anyone dares to contradict it can be pointed out with glee that they were wrong. And let me tag on that this is said “in all respect” so now no one can get offended by anything I just wrote because see, it says right there, “WITH ALL RESPECT”.

*No, I’m not actually mad (well, perhaps a tiny bit annoyed) but I couldn’t resist the above.

**And lainie, I’m sure between myself, carmen, and mom & dad we’ll be able to pick up casey. I think we all three prefer to take the route back to birmingham through albany anyway.

  7. Mom, don’t freak out. It’s all in good fun. You don’t need to worry that your children are arguing! :)
