Slow Down

I hate to be the doody in the pool, but I think things are moving a little too fast. If I understand correctly, there are only three cabins available each with a capacity of 6 people. That’s only 18 people that can stay in the park.
Aren’t we looking at possible over 50 people.
I don’t know about anybody else, but I wanted to stay in a place where EVERYONE could gather together, not have to split up later that night or drive in to meet everyone else in the morning etc etc.
the Cabins look great but they limit us on what we can do.
I suggest that Laine or Brenda or Beth or whoever, I’ll volunteer but am limited on what I can plan, puts together 2 or 3 SUGGESTED packaged ideas about where, what and when the reunion would involve, something that describes cost, location, available activities and perhaps a rough itenerary.
I think the time, last week in July sounds good for everyone, but I would really urge it be someplace where we can ALL be.
If folks want to rush on this because it’s the first thing that looks concrete then I guess that’s fine, but we won’t have a chance to do something like this again probably for a long while, let’s make sure we’re setting it up to be a big success.
I don’t intend that to be a negative comment on Lainie’s or anyone else’s effort so I apologize if it is. The end of July is 4 months away, I think we can come up with something more… planned by then.

You’re absolutely right, Ben. We’re still just in the very early stages of trying to put something together. Dad reserved the cabins, because there were only three left. Lainie had told us about them, and we thought we had better grab at least two, and then deside from there. That at least gave us a spring board….something to think about AT LAST!! Then…Lainie has been using her gas, and hiking her legs off trying to come up with some good angles, and she has put together her package now, and before, she had reserved some motel rooms on her cards…and then she cancelled them. We should look at that motel again. We’re just bouncing the ball around now, and you and Julie don’t have to be as concerned. I know you don’t have much time, and you’re far, far away. The folks in Birmingham should be able to do more about this…at least in the idea department. When we finally decide the DEFINITE DATES. We do know now that it will be the last week in July. It looks like Dad and I can be there for the weekend now, beginning on Friday the 25th. and going thru the next week until maybe the next Friday. (Aug 1)
Dad thinks now that we should all be in the same Motel, and take care of our own expenses and food, except maybe a special dinner. Lainie has a couple of ideas about a dinner.
