I want to cancel this
March 24, 2008 | Reunion 2008
excuse me, but I didn’t even mean to start this, and can’t get out of it. Oh well since it’s started I will address it instead to BEN
No, Ben, you are not being negative at all. We have only begun to think of what we should do. Dad wanted to grab those cabins in case we let them slip, and then were sorry. We have plenty of time to cancel. They will sleep seven very comfortably. That’s 21 in three cabins. We were thinking maybe you and Julie, who might like to retire, tired at night with small children, could go to a pretty cabin with lots of room, and put the babies down. A lot roomier than a motel room. Or an RV. I’m still set on having three cabins. Bill and Nancy with their three rambunctious children may like to retire at night with their three kiddies to a cabin, also, and put their little ones down to sleep. As for the third cabin, would some of you like Jason, and Carmen, and Teyla, and Jordan, and somebody else like to have it????
Now that I mention Bud….How about you and your four children and Melissa and another favorite cousin take it???
Just asking-It’s probably being rented, even as I type

Dad is cancelling our cabins tomorrow, so you’re not being Mr. Negativity. We’re just getting cranked up with ideas. And you are so right. We have one shot at making it lots of fun for all, and most especially all of the little children involved. Anyway, dad is cancelling the cabins, because it seems that no visitors are allowed, other than those that are registered to be in the rooms. And at night, it closes at a certain hour. We need to just go back to the original idea of getting motel rooms close to each other in the same motel (a nice one) and close to Oak Mountain, because there are so many nice things to do. i think lainie still wants to camp there. Anyway, she put together her package, but adding it all up, dad and I are afraid it costs to much. It would be so much fun, but so expensive, HOWEVER….PLEASE EVERYBODY….TAKE A LOOK AT IT…It might be the very thing you might want to do.

DO NOT CANCEL THE CABINS.
That is all.

No Bill is right, don’t cancel the cabins and get the third one. That is cheaper for ya’ll for the first three days than the motel. don’t worry about me, i only live 15 minutes from Oak Mountain, I can attend activities from my home. I realized last night that I would be camping in July and I think that is too hot at night. The only thing I ask is that maria or Someone pick Casey up in Albany on the way here. I had to go through Albany to get to your house and coming from Maria’s house. Just let Beth and Brenda take care of everything.I have done my part getting the contact numbers and investigating everything. I left phone numbers for Holiday Inn and Pelham Civic center on one of my posts. There is also a “Best Value” motel next to Oak Mountain and they charge $189.00 for a whole week although there is no pool there.

I don’t want to cancel the cabins yet, and Lainie is going to see about getting the third one tomorrow. We can keep them in reserve for several weeks, before we are allowed to cancel, if we wish.
They are so beautiful, and everything in the surroundings are lovely. Does somebody want to rend a couple of those big RVs and bring them over?
They sleep seven, and they are right in the midst of overthing. Right there on the little beach area, and near the pavillion, which we should probably reserve, too.
Meanwhile, folks up in the motels won’t be far away, and they can come on down for boating and golfing and whatever else is offered. I know that there is swimming in the little lake off the beach, but I don’t know how the water looks. anybody want to fish? I think visitors are perfectly welcome to the cabins in the daytime. We can surely check that out tomorrow.
Only three days in the cabins, and then those of us who stay there will move on to the motel. Yummy continental breakfasts are offered there.
BRENDA…KEEP DIGGING AND LOOKING. What’s out at Tannehill (or whatever they used to call it)
