  2. Thank you, Brenda. That’s good to know. Maria thinks thaet the last week in July might be good, but I think Bailey the second week of August. Julie and Ben are coming here the first of june or thereabouts. Anyway, go ahead and read what everybody has to say under “ReUnion” by Carmen. There are about sixteen or seventeen comments. lots of suggestions. Those of you who live in Birmingham seem very flexible, except for lainie.
But the Gibbons’ might be willing to work it out with her.

  4. well, I say last week in July would be best, even though chris will be having football practice all summer up until school starts, at least nights for him will be free and weekends, Probably would be best for Beth also, since school will be started in august for her kids also. Once the date gets set, beth and I can start planning the activities to do. If Ben and Julie are going to Fl in June, will they be able to make the reunion? (BEN?)

  5. What’s the deal about “terrible about going on the site?” Some people dig the “online experience” and some don’t. No biggie.

It IS a convenient place to communicate about the reunion, however.

To whom it may concern: The Houston Branch of the family is fine with whatever you all come up with. Just let us know.

N.B. I don’t get the groaning about Oak Mountain S.P. As I recall back over fifteen years ago, they had really built the thing up to where it was pretty nice. Now, Beth tells me that everything in Alabama has now gone to aitch, so I could be wrong, but I suspect that it’s even nicer now than it was.

Why not have someone there close to things check it out? I’ll be they have cabins or even a lodge you can reserve and rent that would be super nice.

Nancy checked out http://www.alapark.com/parks/park.cfm?parkid=9 and thought it looked pretty nice.

  6. Oh, and I should mention that any kid that is in need of passing scouting (Cub or BSA or GS) requirements would probably be able to do a bunch of it at OMSP.

Isaiah’s in the middle of a bunch of this.

  7. I am with you Bill. I think the cabins would be great, it says they have bathrooms and kitchens in them, but some don’t want that. I wish they did.
