Computer help please

I can’t get sound from my speakers. I bought new ones but this still didn’t solve the problem. Anyone have a solution, with all of these computer genius’s in the family, surely someone can give me technical advice.

Prolly just needs a new soundcard. They’re pretty cheap; you can usually get a decent one for $20 or so.
Your computer MAY have built-in sound on the motherboard (the main computer board you see in there). That’s not unusual. Just make sure you have an empty expansion card slot – Beth should be able to check it all out for you – and slap it in there.

Yea right Bill, I shant ask Beth, she charges too much.!!Well, she just doesn’t like to do these for free, she resents it. I think I can take it apart tomorrow and go to Best Buy and buy a new sound card. I think your right about the sound card, my computer is over three years old , I think that is exactly what it is. Thank-you for the advice, the check is in the mail.
