Mom has pneumonia

She probably won’t want me saying anything, but too bad. I don’t want anyone saying “You should have called me”. Anyway…long story short, I came home Saturday from our camping trip (because i too am sick) leaving Jason and the girls at Hontoon State Park with the Rodrigueses (friends from church). Anyway…this morning, dad said mom was burning with feaver and snoring strangely. We went to try to wake her and she wouldn’t wake and was mumbling and sluring. So, we called an ambulance and they took her to the hospital. Dad said when she woke she said, “How did I get here” and tried to get up to go home. Well, she couldn’t. She has pneumonia and they are putting her in ICU to moniter her. She should be OK, but keep her in your prayers. I will try to keep you informed. Dad is back home right now (Sunday night). He should be reachable on his cell phone too if he is out. 386-837-6965

Any updates? I called Dad’s cell-phone and left a message but have heard nothing from him. I thought about calling the house but didn’t know if perhaps everyone’s pretty busy dealing with it.
Pneumonia’s pretty serious; however, an elderly brother in our ward (actually a WWII vet, tailgunner on a B-17; how cool is that?) recently was hospitalized in it. He was back in church two weeks later, looking fit as a fiddle.
He’s at least ten years older than Mom.
