  2. I’m sorry Mom, but Joe is just as much family as Melissa. When I was at the lowest point of my life he not my family is the one who came through and I consider him as much my family as I do Melissa, and I do consider Melissa family.

  3. Lainie, you know I didn’t mean to leave anyone out, who would have any desire whatsoever to be included in our family gatherings. They would be welcome, and that includes Joe and his wife, Kelly. After all, Joe is the father of Casey, who is our grand-daughter, and the great-grand-daughter of James Willis and Emily Mclure Chapman.

I understand your feelings toward Joe. He was, after all, your husband at one time, and that is something that isn’t easily erased. He is the father of one of your children, and he has always been your friend. He did help you, when no one else was inclined to do it.

If we ever get a Reunion off the ground, and some invitations in the mail, I will be sure that Joe and Kelly get one. OK?

  4. I am sorry I still have raw feelings about that time in my life. Its just that it is the only time in my life when I was physically unable to work and provide food for myself. If it hadn’t been for Joe and the Relief Society not only would I have had no where to stay and recover from a broken back but I would have had no food.

  5. I felt bad after I posted this last comment Mom. Not many people know what i went thru, they don’t know about all the black people kicking me and spitting on me because I couldn’t walk and telling me they hated white people and knowing I couldn’t defend myself and I know this is just a trial in my life I have to get through and I know God has a reason for it. I should probably talk to the Bishop because whenever I think I am OK I feel predudices against blacks and others coming up again and I know its wrong. so forgive me for not getting over it yet.
