  5. Actually, Bill, I googled “ugly kid” and this pic popped up. Poor thing.

  6. Beth, why exactly did you google ‘ugly kid’? I am very concerned about you.

  7. Um, you don’t think there could be “photoshopping” involved, do you?

50 million abortions since the year Carmen was born, and this one somehow slipped through? I don’t think so.

  9. Carmen: This is in response to Lainie’s “Children” comment about her job at a children’s pageant and the radio station. I was merely trying to find candidates that did not qualify according to the DJ.

Mom: you shouldn’t laugh at the disabled.

  10. Nah, Beth, Carmen’s right. I read Lainie’s screed as well, and Googling “Ugly Kid” never crossed my mind.

You are in serious need of intervention. We’re all coming up there to stay at your house, eat your food, and get in your face for a whole week, so that we can “save you” from your dark side.

Which week would be convenient for you?

  12. Great Idea Bill!! We can have our Family Reunion at Beth’s house, while we observe her, and determine exactly what went wrong, and pinpoint when it happened, if possible. Since she gave birth to two of the prettiest kids ever, I don’t know whether the “dark side” emerged before or after she had her beautiful children. Inasmuch as she just now saw fit to google the ugly kid thing recently, I wonder if she regrets not trying for more kids, until she could finally have a pretty little girl….nah!! No way!! I was pretty close to her after Dillon was born. I took care of him for about six weeks, until he was old enough to put in Day Care. She definitely didn’t want more children. After all, she was already 40+. She was brave to have the two she had. And Paul was pushing up over 45+. Neither of them really knew just how “different” their two boys were at that point. They know now. Is “different” the word? But, Hey, they are my grandchildren, so be very careful what you say!! I still like the idea of a week at Beth’s house. I’ll bring the dessert.
