Maybe a little too much Harry Potter?
January 18, 2008 | Funny, Kid Brag
So, some time last week, Mom, Teyla and I were hanging out in the ‘office’. Teyla looked at the chandelier and thought there was a spider. When mom and I looked, there was no spider, however there could have been with so many cobwebs. So, we decided to clean the chandelier. Teyla immediately went and got the broom to try to sweep it. Well, I found the feather duster and told her we were going to use it instead since it would be easier and more effective. Teyla looked at the feather duster, looked at the broom looked at Nana, handed her the broom and said, “Go fly somewhere!”

OK, I can’t stop laughing at that one… a freudian slip or does Nana just look so much like Professor McGonnagal:)

Just please tell me Teyla hasn’t seen Nanny McPhee! Poor Nana.

I hope it had something to do with watching “Kiki’s Delivery Service”, the DVD about the little 13 year old witch that went out on her own to find out what her gift as a witch would be, like fortune telling or other such witchery things. That film is by one of those marvelous Japanese writers. They wrote “Howls Moving Castle” (My favorite) and “Spirited Away”, (My second favorite) and then “Kiki” my next favorite.

at work, “go fly somewhere” has become the secret way of telling someone to go…um, well..use your imagination. we also use a few other teyla-isms like “tear, tear”. This is what teyla told me one day while i was complaining about something to carmen. she looked at me, pointed to the outer corner of her eye and in two exaggerated downward motions said, “tear, tear”. well, nothing like a 3 year old calling you a cry baby to make you shut up.

~Hey! FYI Maria, “tear, tear” is a Michelle-ism. She made it up, then i did it, then Teyla got it from me. Don’t give Teyla fauls credit!
P.S I’m only complaining because Michelle hates when I used something of hers and she gets no credit.
