Beth, great to see you here finally! Did you figure out the problem? Did I perhaps not have your login set up properly to begin with?
I DID remember Mom’s birthday, but as is the case with pretty much everyone in my family, I didn’t call or anything. I’m too self-absorbed, too busy with work and (grand)kids and church and stuff, so I rarely give a thought to the bigger picture.
Or rather, “a thought” is ALL I give.
I love my family, including and especially you, Mom. I’m just kind of not a very good son, father, grandfather, husband or brother.
Some of us are good at some things, and others good at others things. Beth and Brenda (e.g.) are good family members; I’m not.

Bethy is a patient at a small, private, very quiet psychiatric hospital in suburban Birmingham. We do everything we possibly can to keep her calm and happy.
If she wants to think she’s a member of some fictional family called “The Pagans/Polhemi”, well, no harm no foul, right?
