new orson scott card book
December 27, 2007 | Uncategorized
Well, I sort of got the new OSC book (A War of Gifts) for Christmas. It should be here any day. I know that it isn’t a very big book and should be finished with it soon. I think Maria already got it from the library, so if anyone wants it when I am finished, I can send it to them. Or, I guess you could get it from the library or buy yourself. I just hate spending so much money on a little book. I DO LOVE THE LIBRARY, THOUGH.

I’ve read it, it’s pretty good. I’ve read all of Card’s “Ender series” books and stories.
I think you kind of have to be “in the know” about what’s going on, at LEAST have read “Ender’s Game.” It was hard for Nancy to understand when she tried to read it without the complex backstory.

I’ve read all the Ender Books. Would you believe Tony is the only one of us (ok, maybe not ONLY) that HASN’T read them? He is always reading sci-fi/fantasy books. Maria finally gave him her copies of Ender’s Game and Ender’s Shadow to read, but when I saw him today he hadn’t started them yet because he was still finishing another series. Anyway…I know the story. You know they are making the movie, right?

I have to let all the women know that I finally picked up the Twilight series by BYU graduate Stephenie Meyer and they are the most scrumptious books ever! If you haven’t read them yet, do it right away! You won’t be able to put them down. I have been obsessively reading all three for the past two weeks and they are starting production on a movie next month. Read them, I know you’ll love them.

I have seen those books and even picked them up, but I haven’t started reading any yet. I love to have a new series to read. Especially a recommended one. THanks, Julie.
