Santa CLAWS

November 25, 2007 | Funny

The following conversation is between Carmen and Teyla: (or close enuff to it)

Teyla:  I want a watch like yours, Mommy.  With a light on it.

Carmen:  Maybe Santa will bring you one.  You can sit on his lap and tell him that you want one.

Teyla:  NO!  I don’t want to sit on his lap!  He has CLAWS!

I think we should try to remember some of the things that the grandchildren have said that are funny.  The thing is….I can barely remember anything, and it’s a shame.  Sister Deanne Giles kept a journal for ALL of her children on every single funny thing they ever said or did, and they all loved their journals when they grew up.  I know that Johnny followed suit, because he read to me dozens of the entry’s that he made in a journal for his son, Reid, when we went up for Ben’s wedding, and stayed at Johnny’s house.

  2. I really had hoped that Beth would start a “Ryder sayings” entry on the blog!

Here’s one from Ethan yesterday: [Shouting out loud to no one in particular, as is his wont] “Merry Christmas! Happy Hannukah!” (pause) “Grandpa, what the heck is ‘Hannukah,’ anyway?”

  3. OK, here’s 2 from my Ethan:

“Mom, you love me so much your heart can’t stop!”

(Upon realizing he was making me angry)
“Daddy, I’m sorry I nervoused you.”

  4. I love the things children say. As I get older I love children more and more because they are so innocent, which makes me understand why the Lord say’s to be more like children.they love everyone, they think the best of everyone, they trust everyone and they melt my heart. As I get older I love animals more and more. I always keep my birdfeeder full because the birds eat the food up so quick and I see them out my bedroom window, I love the dogs that come into work. I always pet them and acknowledge them ( dogs get upset if you don’t acknowledge their presence because they feel they should be number one). I love all the old people that come into work that love nature, and now with the turning of the leaves my view is so beautiful!! God is so good. By the way , I finally got a new mouse today, my other was terrible ,its cordless and it had to come with a cordless keyboard and speakers (like I could really sit on my bed and read LOL. I hope all had a great thanksgiving and are so greatful for their kids and grandkids, such blessings from God.
