2. Actually, Mom, that’s what’s known as a “pingback.” They have special “crawlers,” programs that do nothing but run around looking for keywords on blogs, and then automatically generating posts on their own blogs, which refer to your blog.

   If you ever listen to Rush anymore, this is part of what is known as the “blogosphere.” It’s a high-tech way of keeping a very large conversation going about many different topics through the aid of the Internet and blogging technology.

   There’s a lot more to all this than meets the eye.
