Ikey Gets The Gold

Well, a plastic, gold-painted trophy identical to about a hundred other such handed out by the Katy National Little League at the end of this “Fall Ball” season, anyway!
Actually, Isaiah is coming along. This was the first season where official scores began to be kept, and his team won nine of their games and lost only two. Isaiah averaged at least one hit in each game, and drove in a few runs. He (and most of his teammates) have a lot to learn about fielding, but even there they’re making progress! Isaiah actually had two or three put-outs playing in the infield.

CONGRATULATIONS, ISAIAH! I am looking forward to having you come to my house for Christmas. I have a big backyard, and side yards, and we can pitch to each other again, if the weather is good. It’s nice sometimes in central Florida, but not always. Today was just perfect. Love, Nana Elaine

Oh, and about the Yankees uni: For the “Fall Ball” season they apparently limited the teams to only the “in-stock” uniforms, so the only ones available were (as you might guess) the Yankees, Red Sox, Astros and Braves. So you had those four teams, ad nauseum, at every LL level! It was pretty funny!
Not to mention confusing. Ethan’s team was also “the Yankees” (but at the Rookie 7 level; Isaiah is “Pee Wee 8″) So we’d get emails saying “attention Yankees parents, don’t forget to (blahblahblah)” and we’d have to email back to ask which team they were talking about!
