I'm dealing with it now, and I have just started having to inject insulin. It's not a big a deal as I was afraid it would be - they have this little "pen" thingy now that's really easy - but it's a hassle. The long-term effects of diabetes are not good, it affects your entire body in one way or other. Get to a good endocrinologist ASAP. Ben, I echo Mom’s warning.
